The Light
It is always there
All you need is to feel your breathing
It is there
warmly
embracing you
"There is a light that shines on this world. And there is light in everyone's heart. I would like to convey the fundamental warmth felt when the two are connected."
I began to film the sunlight and then tried to stage artificial lights in the set to express the subtle states of changing light, but I didn't like them after all. One morning in my studio, when sunlight passed through my window, I was with the light all morning by itself.
이 세계를 비추는 빛이 있다. 그리고 모든 이의 마음 속에 존재하는 빛이 있다. 그 둘이 연결되었을 때 느껴지는 근원적인 따듯함을 전달하고자 한다.
코로나로 전 세계가 고통받고 있다. 이 시대에 무엇이 상실되고, 또한 무엇이 필요할까 생각해본다.
햇빛이 사물에 비추는 시간을 영상으로 기록하고, 조명을 사용하여 장면을 연출해 보기도 하였지만 내가 원하는 빛을 표현하기는 어려웠다. 어느 날 아침, 내 방 창문을 통해 햇살이 들어왔고, 오전 내내 그 빛과 함께 있었다. 그리고 다음 날 오전의 시간을 영상 작품으로 옮겼다. 이 작품을 통해 모든 이의 방에 비추고 있는 빛을 발견하길 희망한다.
